ABOUT
FOURSTEPS OF FUNDRAISING is an online basic fundraising course aiming to give people some knowledge on the theme. It is a bold work written by Celia Cruz and Renata Brunetti to enable the social organizations to have access to tips and tools on fundraising on a sustainable funding standards.
METHODOLOGY | FOURSTEPS OF FUNDRAISING
The course 4steps of fundraising was developed by their authors using their own methodology, which its elaboration for fundraising plan is divided into four steps:
- DIAGNOSES – It is time to recover your Organization background on fundraising and to analyze the strong and weak points to draw new steps.
SUPPORT- It is time to review your projects and budgets and to build some support material for fundraising.
STRATEGY – It is time to find a good strategy for fundraising adapted to each of your objectives.
NEGOTIATION- It is time to “close” the deal itself.
AUTHORS
CÉLIA CRUZ
Executive director of “Instituto de Cidadania Empresarial”(ICE). She was the diretor for Ashoka Canada from 2001 – 2009 , general manager for Ashoka Global Fellowship, and director for Ashoka Brazil and Paraguay. She also performed as the director of institution development of Administration College “ Escola de Administraçao de Empresas da Fundação Getulio Vargas “(EAESP) from 1994 to 2000. She was a representative in Fundraising School of Indiana´s University Center for Philanthropy from 2000 to 2003 where she taught Fundraising and Social entrepreneurism courses from 1995 to 2007 in many different colleges as EASESP/FGV , FEA/USP, SENAC, FOS and in many programs in Brazil. Masters in Economy by EAESP/FGV with interchange programs in ESSEC, France and York University, Canada. She is a member of the ABCR (Brazilian Fundraising Association) in which she helped to found.
RENATA BRUNETTI
PhD in Social Psychology from PUC-SP, since 1996 she has been a fundraising consultant in several social organizations: Graacc, Hospital Sírio Libanês, among others. She is a member of the Ashoka Support Network and the board of the GMK Institute, the ABH Foundation, the Horas da Vida Institute and Captamos. Strategic Director and co-founder of Atuação no Mundo – movement that aims at transforming the world in which we live for the world we want. And consultant in innovations to generate positive social and environmental impact.
